Book Signing.

So lately I haven't been on, but today I got out of bed at 6!!!!! in the morning because I was just so excited to go to the Redcliffe  library and meet the awesome Marianne de Pierres. So besides the fact this morning I broke quite a few speed limits and then had the worst road rage, I got to listen to an interesting talk and then get to talk to her my self. My mum and Carol haven't heard the end of it ALL day.

My official autographed copy...
Today I learnt a lot about the publishing world and also a lot about the world of an author. My favorite part is pined to my wall and written in my book. I think my poster and book have gotten more attetion than anything else on my book shelf.
All my Burn Bright Items
I got to see, meet and talk to an author my day was great. Also I volunteered to work at the book fest and my paper work I have to fill out will be in the mail tomorrow hopefully. Today has been so much fun. I even went shopping after that and got.

That was my day. Hope yours was just as fun.

Crash and Burn

I feel like everything I had has either left or is being destroyed. I thought everything was going fine, Mum was fine, My relationship was fine and my friendships were fine. Apparently I was blind.

My mum is worried sick about her operation, My relationship is over and my friend ships are fragile. So it has been really crappy day.

Other than that I have plans to spend most of my after noon tomorrow at the library, then Saturday catching up with an old friend who is coming into town and then next weekend at my friends place and a baby shower. Mum is trying to keep me busy and it isn't working but she is trying tho help with the whole my teenage world is blowing up in her face. I heard her talking to our house mate about the fact she doesn't know what to do because she hasn't been a teenager is so long. That made me laugh a little.

For the baby shower I am thinking of making little (unborn) baby Jasmine a little book. It will have faeries and mermaids and pretty little pictures. :D What do you all think???

Now I am off to start finding pictures for this book I am going to do...

Glass Houses

I sank my fangs into this and I love it. The way the story starts out with a teenage genius off to collage at 16 and trying to fit in. That lets you know the main character Claire will of course have problems.

Here is the blurb!!!

Just don't stay out after dark.

College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation, where the popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks in the school's social scene: somewhere less than zero.

When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life. But they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood

My opinion!

The book is GREAT! If you have only read or bought the first one I strongly suggest you go out and get the rest in the series there are 9 out in total and the tenth is released in May (So close to my birthday).

But If you have read Vampire Academy, Evernight and even Twilight I assure you that you will be highly pleased with this book and it series. If you buy the first book, you will die until you have the second as it leads right off where it ends and then at the end it jumps right into book three. If you haven't read our own this book I am telling you to go buy it, read it and LOVE it.

Series Order.

So that is the Morganville Vampire series. I would recommend the to any one over 13 and who loves any thing to do with vampires. Go get your copy today and find a nice spot to read and then enjoy the journey of for troubled teens surrounded  in a town run by vampires.

OMG Burn Bright

Again OMG, there are to many more word to describe this book. *jumps up and down* so let me point out a few steps on enjoying this book.

  1. If you haven't read this book, get your but to a book shop and buy a copy.
  2. It is a must have on your book shelf so follow step one.
  3. It will intrigued you until the end (I'm already  ordering the next one) so read as much in one go as you can (you can always re-read)
  4. Groan in frustration at the ending because it shouldn't end and should go on for ever and ever.
  5. Someone who will listen while you babble about the epicness of this book Or find as many people as you can and recommend it so you can all talk about it together.
  6. Pre-order your copy of "Angel Arias" and count down the days until it is released (Don't stare at your calendar time only goes slower)
  7.  (optional) Look around Marianne de Pierres Web site to see what else she has written or visit the OFFICIAL "Burn Bright" site.
OK so you MUST follow those steps if not a night creature will find you and eat your soul, trust me don't walk off into the dark alone or they will eat you, because they want you to read the book,

The book it's self it complex as at first I couldn't grasp their ways of life or their origins, but as I read along more I could under stand and see there views on their religions and life styles and why they would want to run away.

I truly suggest you buy your own copy and indulge yourself with a nice drink and this great book.

I recommend it 13+ and I would rate it 5/5.

P.S the night creatures are watching you.
P.S.S This is the official music soundtrack for the book.

Difficulties, Multi-pulls and Confusions

So the title of this blog entry poses a purpose.

Difficulties is family and friends, but also picking which book to read first.

Multi-pulls is the fact that I spent at least an 30 minutes in each book shop picking which books to take and which to leave. It was hard but I only got three.

Confusions, would again be family and friends. I love my family and friends more that I can say, I love a friend to much and another not enough and it confuses me on how I can seem to get my self onto that situation and I only make it worse when confronted with it. *sigh*

Back to the books, I have three brand new amazing books they all have beautiful covers and a great story line yet I can not pick which one I want to read first. I put it out there for my friend to vote on facebook and there is only one hour left of voting and then I'll sit down and start reading which ever wins.  Then on Monday I shall review it.

**********ONE HOUR LATER**********

(a) Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely) by Melissa Marr
(b) Burn Bright by Marianne de Pierres

The Winner is.... Burn Bright. In favor of a total land slide, I am off to read now.

Enjoy you night .

Things

First of all, Late (sorry) happy Birthday to Amy, one of my best friends and also thank you for inviting me to your party Friday night. It was really fun.

Second, I had fun to day spending time with my mum at hospital as she was taken there due to that darn tumor, it is now the size of a coke can, she went to hospital yesterday and I went to pay a visit today.  I took her a few things and while I was there she asked me to go to the canteen and get her something to eat, as i am completely immature I got TONS of salt sashays, so I walk back to her room and write the letter a on the salt, so when I give it to her she says did you asalt me and of course she and I both found it funny, again another fun moment....

Third, I wish to apologize to the memebers of zcole16 that I haven't been able to work on the second chapter of Water demons but I have been able to work on a short story of just 100 words.  It is a romance scene between Simon and Isabelle from Cassandra Clare's City of Bones (Mortal Instruments) series. I was meant to enter it in a competition but never got to the library to enter it.

Fourth, Glasses. My mum and I got out glasses finally. I look kind of nerdy but I like them. Yes I know my room is a total mess, I really should clean more often.

Fifth, Mum is coming home tonight yaya.

Sixth. I have a small fascination with numbers right now.

Ok so other than my number fascination, not much else has been happening with my life. I have been working on my  books I'm writing and I will put up my scene that I wrote tomorrow.

Have a good after noon.
